“How about spleens? Do you have spleens?”
Adrian was practically bouncing as he wandered along the edge of the river, still leading Drenalis by the hand like a dog. In his other hand he held the journal, flipping through its functions without settling on any particular one.
“Or, well, a spleen, I suppose. It would be rather strange if you personally had more than one…” His voice took on a sudden tone of excitement. “Do you have more than one?”
They were moving along a rocky shelf that jutted out over the stagnant water, the remains

Libertas Round 2.2 - An Awakening
Having clothes and a bed had never felt like such a luxury. After Hover had directed them to the Military Base and shown them to their rooms, Ethan had been more than relieved to find rows of worn-but-durable clothing stacked in a closet—boots of varied size in a nice line on the floor. Most of them were too big for him, but after some trial and error he had been able to slip on a baggy pair of cargo pants, some boots, and a jacket. Mouse seemed less enthusiastic. She sat on her bed and stared forlornly at her hands. The rags still drooped awkwardly across her thin frame.
“I just wanted to see if you were okay,” Ethan said

Libertas Round 2.1 - An Awakening
They had been walking for hours-that-felt-like-days before Jeanne finally agreed to stop. And save for a murky river that neither of them had trusted so much to drink from (though it did help them get the blood of the warped out of their hair) as they climbed a bridge to cross it with, the two had found nothing but ruin. No more monsters had crossed their path—but neither had any survivors. Ethan was tired and in pain and the pain only served to exacerbate the tired. But he wasn’t the only one; Jeanne was tired, too. He could tell by the way her once-determined stride had slowed to a stubborn shuffle and by the way she would shift

Through the constellations of the eyes of Angelo Duncan, he can clearly see the collection of tools, gears, engines and other supplies neatly accommodated in rusty but firm metallic shelves. Most of those are useless now, since time finds a way to mess with machinery.
However, for all that it matters to him, he could be on a boat in the middle of the ocean. None of that matters at this point. The sad fact is that he now has a broken engine, which happens to be vital to his ability to fly.
Stareyed will never fly again. Three engines don’t suffice to lift his body. He has, effectively, lost all purpose. He’s now

I feel tremendously out of place.
That said... I don’t think that there’s a place to be out of here. In clothing alone, I can see a variety of fabrics that look nothing like I have ever seen in my own world. Wherever these people come from, it’s not the same place. The message did say, after all, that this place draws in people from several universes, so it’s quite likely that no one does belong here. To top it all, the ‘dining room’ here is just... strange. There are no doors at all and it’s all just a part of a huge, joint room in the base. Also we are not really using a table b
Dizziness
“What is going on out here!” Nemmet and Halady came running out of the bunker. Halady was holding a large cannon with lights and knobs sticking out of the sides.
“What the hell is going on?” The woman with the anti-tank gun turned to look at the bunker door. “Where did... where did everything... CELESTINA!?”
Mouse watched as the woman who had been crouching ran over to the man and looked him up and down.
“No no no no no!” The little robot flew up to the woman with the gun, “that isn’t Celestina!”
“Look Hover, I saw her taken with my own eyes, I know she is

“I’m going to go make sure that Ethan is ok, don’t run off ok?”
“ok” Mouse peaked around her metal hiding place to watch Hover talk to Ethan.
“Hello Hover,” the boy said as the little robot floated up to him. He was staring intently at the wounded man on the ground.
“Figure anything out?” The robot asked.
“Well, I’ve thought of a lot of things but most of them won't work. I think that all I have to do to break the spell is stop time and then start up time again except I’d start them up again with everything else. I think that would work and it shoul
Friends
When they climbed out of the sewer line and into the debris surrounding the base, Hover came flying up to them.
“I am so glad you are safe! I was worried when you went missing!” He spun in the air in front of Mouse, who flinched.
“You... you are glad?” she murmured.
“Of course, I would be very sad if you got hurt!”
“Me?”
“Of course!” He held out his hand, “shall we go? Halady has already shown your friend into the base.”
Mouse looked around to make sure he wasn’t talking to anyone else. Would everyone treat her this way if she kept looking pretty? No,
